Government Grants

Government grants are awarded on the basis of a 2011-2020 Program to support investments of high importance to the Polish economy in the years 2011 – 2020 (the“Programme”) adopted by the Council of Ministers on 5 July 2011.

Forms of Support

Aid is granted in the form of subsidies on the basis of a bilateral agreement between the Ministry of Economy and the investor. The agreement regulates the principles of subsidisation with the rule that the subsidy is provided in proportion to the level of completion of obligations.

 

Beneficiaries

Support may be applied for exclusively by entrepreneurs planning to invest in the following priority sectors:

  1. automotive,
  2. electronics and household appliances,
  3. aviation,
  4. biotechnology,
  5. agri-food,
  6. advanced services,
  7. research and development (R&D).

Additionally, support may be applied for by entrepreneurs planning to invest in other sectors, with minimum eligible costs of 750 million PLN and creating at least 200 jobs, or minimum eligible costs of 500 million PLN and creating at least 500 jobs (major investments).

The Program provides support for investments on account of two bases:

1. Support on account of creating new jobs (grant for employment) for the Opole Province
