The Japanese company Kuraray announced plans to create a new MonoSol production plant in Poland for the production of polyvinyl alcohol soluble films (PVA). According to the company, the demand for water-soluble PVA films is growing worldwide for use as unit dose detergent packaging, cosmetics, food, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and more. Kuraray said he has now decided to create a new production base in Poland to meet growing demand, optimize global supply chain and increase sales in Europe.
MonoSol is a subsidiary of a company in Indiana, USA. Produces and sells water-soluble PVA films, and production bases are located in the mid-west of the USA.
The company plans to expand its supply system and continue to focus on improving product quality and developing new products. This will ensure the company’s ability to meet the diverse needs of customers as a supplier of water-soluble PVA films. The new facility, which will be built with an investment of USD 45.53 million in Zimna Wódka (Ujazd commune), is to start production in mid-2022.
