The American company Monosol has provided information about the planned investment in Ujazd (opolskie voivodeship) in the area covered by the Katowice Special Economic Zone.
The company plans to build a biodegradable film production plant near Olszowa, which are used among others for capsules to washing or dishwashers. The company also produces food films – e.g. used to deliver drinks to marathon participants, which avoided tons of used plastic cups.
According to unofficial data, the amount of investment varies between several hundred million zlotys. The most
important reasons for choosing Poland and Ujazd were very good infrastructure, customer availability, well-qualified staff and the company’s operating costs.
Ujazd Municipal Council, Katowice SEZ (partnership from Gliwice) and the Investor and Exporter Assistance Centre operating in the Opolskie Centre for Economy Development were involved in attracting the investor to Ujazd.
