At least 350 jobs will be created in Ujazd

Another factory is being built in the Katowice Special Economic Zone in Ujazd. Mubea – German tycoon from the automotive industry – has begun construction of the first two halls giving jobs to the first employees.

According to the  visualization presented during a symbolic start of the construction (15.10) a total of six production halls is projected to be built over a 14-acre plot of land purchased by Mubea Automotive Poland . The first two will have an area of 10 thousand. sq. meters each. There  will be manufactured components for the automotive industry: special clamps for hydraulic  wires and disc springs used in automatic transmission systems. The whole investment of the company in Ujazd will be worth 49 million euros and  the production in this new Mubea facility is due to begin in April next year. Impressive plans of the German investor assuming that by the end of next year, employment in the company has to find approx. 230 people are of huge importance for the labor market in Opolskie .

During an official start of the investment the trading director of the company, Danuta Wesołowska announced that at least 350 people will be employed at Mubea with possible increase of the workforce to 500. Ujazd authorities claim in turn that there is even a chance  for a thousand jobs created in the area.

– Before we decided to locate another plant of our company in Ujazd, we considered the opportunity to invest in Hungary and the Czech Republic. – Opolskie appeared to have the upper hand mainly because of the proximity to the already operating Mubea plant in the Czech Republic, widespread business-friendly attitude of local governments and institutions for our plans  and the fact that this area is home to many people speaking in German – explains Andreas Rinsdorf, chairman of the board of the company.

Ewa Dudik of Investor and Exporter Assistance Centre at Opolskie Centre for Economy Development which has been leading  the project already at the negotiation’s stage admitted that representatives of the German company thoroughly visited six locations in the region.

They also examined the standards of vocational preparation in three training centers in Opole, Kedzierzyn-Kozle and Strzelce Opolskie. – The inspectors of Mubea wanted to see firsthand how potential employees are trained – explained Ewa Dudik.
