Representatives of companies and local government from the Fuijan province, partner region of the Opolskie Voivodeship, visited the Opole region. The purpose of the visit was, among others, seeking business partners among Opole entrepreneurs.
Fujian is a partner region of the Opole region since September 2012. The most tangible and spectacular effect of this partnership is the investment of the Chinese company Hongbo Clean Energy Europe in Opole. The cornerstone for its construction was laid in 2017. The cost of this investment was PLN 78 million, and the plant is expected to produce 20 million LED lighting per year. In April this year in Beijing, the deputy marshal of the voivodeship Zbigniew Kubalańca and Opole president Arkadiusz Wiśniewski signed letters of intent regarding the new Hongbo investment worth over PLN 800 million. The visit of representatives of Fujian province and Chinese entrepreneurs, which took place on 13 September in Opole, was connected with this investment. As part of cooperation, a number of investment projects are carried out related to the textile industry (tarpaulins, textiles), interior furnishings (granite), electronics and automotive (electromobility). A number of Chinese companies are also interested in imports from Poland (food industry, luxury goods, furniture, electronics).
