Lhoist investment on 500 hectares

The Lhoist concern has prepared a new excavation between Otmice and Kamień Śląski. Research work has been conducted by geologists since 2012. The mine was established on areas leased from the State Forests, which stretch between Otmice and Kamień Śląski. The excavation can ultimately have up to 500 hectares. For now, Lhoist has taken up an area of about 100 hectares. Internal roads were created there, as well as the necessary infrastructure for the extraction and transport of raw material.

The opening ceremony of the new limestone mine was attended by, among others, company representatives and local government officials.
