Mitsui High-tec (MHT) is starting construction of the first European factory of e-motors for hybrid and electric cars. The first plant is being built in Skarbimierz (Opole Region). The company will ultimately invest over PLN 160 million. Initially, employment will be about 30 people, and ultimately over 150 people. The company purchased about 10 hectares of land, on which more than 20,000 m2 of production halls will be created, in which cores for electric and hybrid motors will be produced. The company sells around 2 million cores for cars annually.
Opolskie Centre for Economy Development was involved in the investment project of Mitsui High-tec. This is another project related to electro mobility in the Opolskie Region. Other investment projects in which the Investor and Exporter Assistance Centre operating at OCRG is involved gives hope for further decisions on location production investments in the region in the field of electromobility.
