The German company Gustav Wolf will build a factory in Ujazd, where it will produce a wire used, among others, in the production of car tires. It will create at least 42 new jobs.
The value of the whole investment project is estimated at over 50 million PLN. The plant will be built 3.5 km from the exit to the A4 motorway in Zimna Wódka, in the neighbourhood of the already existing American factory, Tru Flex. Gustav Wolf will operate in the area covered by the Katowice Special Economic Zone.
– Negotiations lasted from January this year and involved in particular the investment opportunities in the area of SEZ, price of the land and its location. It took a lot of time for the investor to check the geotechnical condition of the property – explains Rafał Maćkowski of KSSE. – The tender for the permit for conducting business activity on the territory of the KSEZ and the purchase of land took place on May 22nd. – added.
Investor has already begun designing the plant and after that, the company will be able to start building the plant.
According to Rafał Maćkowski, several factors convinced German company to invest in Ujazd: the availability of highly qualified employees; the brand of KSEZ, which makes investors feel safe on the Polish market; the developing market and the possibility of expansion.
German company Gustav Wolf was founded in 1887. It manufactures wire used for the production of tyres and ropes for lifts and cranes. From a small local factory, it has developed into an international corporation, which operates in six countries employing over 800 people.
Gustav Wolf is another company that recently decided to invest in the municipality of Ujazd in the area covered by Katowice Special Economic Zone. Previously the same was done by IFA Powertrain Polska (which launched its plant at the end of June), Mubea Automotive Poland and American company Tru Flex.
