Skamol, a Danish producer of insulation systems, starts the construction of its factory in Opole. The Polish factory is to produce silicate boards and blocks. The investors plans to employ 24 people. The project was serviced by PAIiIZ.
The company will carry out its investment within the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. The investor is going to employ technical and engineering staff and is counting on cooperation with Polish universities, primarily the Opole University of Technology.
The investment is a result of the economic mission to Denmark in 2015 and is due to the cooperation of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ), Centre for Investor and Exporter Service (COIE) operating at The Opolskie Economic Development Centre (OCRG) and the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone.
The investor has chosen Opole because of the availability of raw materials, growing market, high quality of investors service, partnership in relations with the authorities, the scientific potential of the city and the presence of graduates, especially of Opole University of Technology.
The groundbreaking for the construction of the new factory was held on 2 November in Opole. The ceremony was attended by Vice President of PAIiIZ Krzysztof Senger.
Founded in 1912, Skamol owns several production plants in Denmark and one in Russia.
The value of investments is estimated at PLN 42 million. The completion of construction and the start of production is planned for the end of 2017. (PAIiIZ/OCRG)
